What are functional mushrooms?

Functional mushrooms are a general term for mushrooms that contain ingredients that provide specific health-promoting effects. Various health benefits have been confirmed, including improved brain function, immune system support, increased energy, and stress reduction. In recent years, with the evolution of extraction technology and growing health awareness, next-generation functional mushrooms have become popular, especially in Europe and the United States.

Amanita muscaria is a poisonous mushroom, but is it okay?

Alchemist House only sells Amanita Muscaria products that have undergone extensive clinical testing and have been approved as safe by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Our Amanita Muscaria products are manufactured by detoxifying toxic ingredients and extracting only the active ingredients. A Japanese pharmacist has confirmed that they comply with Japanese law. Please be careful when using Amanita Muscaria products that are not FDA approved.

Are Canna Plants Safe?

Kanna plants (scientific name: Sceletium tortuosum) are succulents native to South Africa that have traditionally been used to promote calm and improve mood. Numerous clinical trials have confirmed the safety of their use as a supplement. However, interactions with other drugs must be considered. Do not use with antidepressants such as SSRIs.

Are there any side effects?

Supplements are not medicines, so there is no need to worry. If you follow the recommended dosage and take them correctly, there will be no problems. If you have any allergies, please consult your doctor. Also, if you experience any discomfort, please discontinue use.

Does it contain any illegal ingredients?

All Alchemist products do not contain illegal ingredients, and all ingredients are safe and in compliance with Japanese law. We have also confirmed permission for personal importation from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and the Pharmaceutical Affairs Division. You can purchase with confidence.

Isn't it a medicine?

All products sold at Alchemist House are sold as supplements in the United States. Some products contain ingredients that are considered pharmaceuticals in Japan. The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare permits the import of such products for personal use, with purchases limited to two months' worth. Please check the product page for any applicable products, which are written in red.

Can it be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women?

For most supplements and nutritional supplements, there is insufficient reliable information on their use by pregnant women or while breastfeeding, and since it is unclear, it is generally not recommended to take them during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. This does not mean that they are unsafe, but you should take them at your own risk.

I am currently taking medication prescribed by the hospital. Is it okay to take it together?

If you are taking medication, please consult your doctor before use.

Can I give this to children?

Our supplements are basically made for adults, so we do not recommend that people under the age of 18 use them. Please use at your own risk, starting with a small amount and adjusting the amount accordingly.

Regarding delivery

How many days will it take for delivery?

Products usually take 5 to 8 days to be delivered on weekdays after the order is placed. Since the product is shipped from the United States, it may take a little longer if it is inspected by customs. If you have not received your package, please contact Alchemist House.

Alchemist House orders are shipped from our California, USA warehouse.

How much does customs duty cost?

When purchasing supplements, if the amount is within the tax-free range of 16,666 yen, no customs duties will be charged. However, if the purchase amount exceeds the tax-free range of 16,666 yen, please note that customs duties and import consumption tax (total of about 15%) will be charged.

Can I send it to a company?

Due to regulations regarding personal imports, the delivery address is limited to your home.

I didn't notice the absence notice and the package was returned.

After the storage period has expired, your luggage will be returned to Narita and disposed of. Please note that the cost of disposal will be borne by the customer.

Can I get a receipt?

Can I order under a company name?

Purchasing goods from overseas e-commerce sites is considered personal import. The general rule is that the goods are for the individual's own use. Even if the goods are for personal use, if they are shipped under a "company name," customs may not determine that the goods are imported for an individual, and you may be required to go through a procedure to prove that the goods are for personal import.

What is personal import?

Importing for personal use. Normally, importing supplements from overseas into Japan requires permission from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. However, it is possible to import a limited number of supplements without permission only if the purpose is for personal use by an individual. Ordered products cannot be resold.

Is consumption tax charged?

We are a supplement retailer in Florida. Therefore, customers living in Japan are not required to pay Florida consumption tax. However, if you purchase more than the personal import regulations, you will be charged customs duties and consumption tax when the product arrives in Japan, and these will be borne by the customer. If the total order amount exceeds 16,666 yen, a total of approximately 15% customs duties and consumption tax will be charged on the product price. This amount will be paid to the delivery company upon receipt.

Returns, exchanges, cancellations and damage

Can I cancel my order?

We accept cancellations after an order has been placed but before it is shipped. However, if the order has already been shipped, cancellations cannot be accepted. If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us.

The container is dented

Before shipping, we carefully check the shape and safety of the product container at our affiliated warehouse. The container may become dented due to changes in air pressure during transportation, but this does not affect the quality of the product, and we ask for your understanding that returns or refunds for such reasons are not eligible.

Can I return an item?

If you wish to return an unopened product, please contact us within 8 days of receiving the product. You will be responsible for the shipping costs associated with the return. Please understand that it is difficult to deal with deformation of the container due to the transportation process or seasonal factors unless the contents are affected. In addition, if the product is sent by mistake or damaged during delivery, please contact us within 8 days of receiving the product, and we will respond promptly.

Can I make changes after placing an order?

Changes to your order will be handled differently depending on when you make your request. On weekdays, we aim to send your order to the manufacturer around 4pm, so in most cases changes can be made before then. This allows us to process your request as quickly as possible.

What if the product I receive is different from what I ordered or is damaged?

Returns and exchanges for defective or incorrectly delivered products are limited to unused products. Please contact us within 5 days of receiving the product. Please note that obvious damage to the packaging due to customer handling, dents in the exterior during shipping, and deformation of the bottle due to changes in air pressure are not covered by the warranty.
